CROP UP Conversations: The Stories that Open Doors, featuring Earlonne Woods
During Fair Chance Month 2026, CROP brought together community members and partners for a conversation with Earlonne Woods, co-host of Ear Hustle, a Pulitzer-finalist podcast that began inside San Quentin and has reached millions of listeners by telling firsthand stories of incarceration and reentry.
Earlonne’s work has helped shift how people understand the justice system by centering lived experience - an approach that’s core to CROP’s work. Earlonne and CROP President Terah Lawyer discussed how storytelling shapes identity, mindset and the journey from incarceration to freedom, followed by a Q&A and sunset rooftop reception with attendees and CROP fellows.
