Ready 4 Life Program: Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to participate in CROP’s Ready 4 Life program, applicants must:

  • Have a CDCR number (incarceration history in California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation).

  • Have been released from incarceration within the last 5 years, dated from start of program cohort (not time of application).

  • Be 18 years of age or older, at the time of application.

  • Have a High School Diploma or GED.

  • Not be required to register under penal code 290.

  • Possess English language proficiency - Ready 4 Life is conducted in English and requires full participation.

  • Live within a reasonable commute to LA or Oakland Campus (or intent to live on Oakland campus) before start of program cohort.
