KIT BERRY (She/her), program coach, Ready 4 life BAY AREA

Kit is an educator, coach, and mentor committed to creating a culture of equity, forgiveness, peace, and compassion. She dedicates her time to making the world a better place for marginalized communities and uses her unique talents to help others thrive and flourish.

Kit has spent time in a variety of career paths, including creative writing, journalism, nonprofit fundraising, tutoring, and teaching. She found her calling in education and social justice. Kit believes with her entire heart that, by infusing education with social justice, she can make a profound impact on the world.

As a Ready 4 Life coach at CROP, Kit utilizes her drive to help others succeed by uplifting justice-involved individuals and communities, guiding them to discover their own strengths and passions, and supporting their journeys toward leadership, self-actualization, and personal fulfillment.

Kit holds four associate’s degrees from Laney College in social sciences, language arts, journalism, and humanities, a Bachelor’s from Mills College in English literature, and a Master’s from San Francisco State University in humanities. She has lived experience navigating homelessness, incarceration, and extreme poverty. She also enjoys writing poetry, singing, and spending time with her pets and the people she loves.
