Floyd D. Collins (he/him), Program Coach, Quest/Ready 4 Life Program
My name is Floyd D. Collins. I have a unique lived experience that has brought me to a place in life where my purpose was revealed. As I was incarcerated for 27 years inside various CDCR institutions, I chose to transform my mindset, which ultimately shifted my behavior and outlook, enlightening a vision that I could do and be more than my confinement. I am the co-founder of Awareness Into Domestic Abuse a 501(c)3 nonprofit that serves residents with intimate partner violence intervention programming within CDCR.
I am a focused, determined, and committed servant leader who seeks to give away what I've gained by sharing my personal testimony and assisting fellows at CROP develop a vision through shifting their mindsets.
Understanding that one's results are based on their intentions, I seek to assist fellows with becoming their authentic selves and realizing their highest potential. I am an empathetic individual who cares immensely about people, thus allowing me to be patient without any form of judgement. I seek to be a mechanism of true inspiration as fellows journey through reentry and navigate a prosocial path back into society. I am humbled to be a coach that will be a part of this process.
