Alexandra Kimmons (she/her), Senior Manager, Communications & development
As Senior Manager, Communications and Development, Alex is responsible for telling the story of CROP’s work across channels and supporting the organization’s sustainable growth.
For the last ten years, Alex has developed communications and fundraising strategies for nonprofit organizations working across criminal justice and gender justice in the UK, China and the US. She led the UK’s first grassroots campaign organizing for criminal record reform, which succeeded in changing the law and improving employment prospects for millions of justice-impacted people. She also co-founded CourtWatch London, the UK’s first community courtwatching program, which mobilized community members to secure practical changes to improve access to justice in the courts. Alex is a podcast and video producer and enjoys working across mediums to tell stories that matter.
Alex holds a BA in Chinese Studies from the University of Oxford and an MA in Gender Studies and Law from SOAS, University of London. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, writing fiction, and tending her vegetable garden.
